UWAs spring football game is April 6

LIVINGSTON | Preparation for defense of the 2012 Gulf South Conference football championship gets underway when West Alabama begins spring practice at Tiger Stadium on Sunday.

The first of 15 workouts, this one in helmets, is open to the public. The UWA Spring Football Game is set for April 6 at 10 a.m. at Tiger Stadium.

The UWA Alumni Association will be selling $10 crawfish plates during the spring game. UWA baseball and softball teams are also hosting GSC doubleheaders that day, softball against West Georgia and baseball against North Alabama. First pitch for both is 2 p.m.

The Tigers open the 2013 season Sept. 7 with a home game against Clark Atlanta.
